In January–March 2025, the Export Credit Agency (ECA) supported the export of Ukrainian companies to the tune of UAH 3.15 billion. Twenty exporting companies benefited from the agency’s insurance protection.

“In the first quarter, the ECA insured exports worth over UAH 3.1 billion. This includes value-added finished products such as furniture, food products, packaging materials, and wood and plastic goods. Thanks to this support, 20 companies were able to secure their contracts and attract nearly UAH 150 million in bank loans. We see that state support tools are working – businesses gain protection, resources for expansion, and confidently enter new markets,” said Deputy Minister of Economy Andrii Teliupa.

Ukrainian companies will export furniture, food products, paper, wood, and plastics to Poland, France, Germany, Bulgaria, Denmark, Hungary, the Netherlands, and other countries.

Thanks to ECA insurance, businesses secured bank loans totalling nearly UAH 150 million.

The largest support for ECA clients’ exports came from:

• Raiffeisen Bank – UAH 1.3 billion,
• Kredytwest Bank – UAH 1.26 billion,
• Oschadbank – UAH 323 million.

The companies most actively utilising export contract insurance opportunities were from:

• Khmelnytskyi region – UAH 1.3 billion,
• Volyn region – UAH 1.12 billion,
• Zaporizhzhia region – UAH 230 million.

Background

The Export Credit Agency of Ukraine is a state institution that supports non-commodity exports by insuring the risks of enterprises and banks. In particular, the agency insures foreign economic contracts, export loans, bank guarantees, and has also begun insuring investment loans against war-related risks.
