By launching fully automated services that do not require the intervention of officials, Ukrainians economize billions of hryvnias and thousands of hours of their time. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the Diia Summit 2022, which took place on February 8 with the participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, First Lady Olena Zelenska, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk, ministers and MPs.
"The results of the polls provide an opportunity to talk about the significant economic effect of the introduction of e-government services. The current level of use of online services allows us to estimate the real savings of UAH 14.7 billion during 2020-2021," stressed Denys Shmyhal.
According to the Head of Government, today Ukraine has become the only country in the world where state assistance can be obtained with a few clicks on a smartphone.
"By now, almost 8 million vaccinated Ukrainians have received a resource under the President's project ePidtrymka. We are extending and transforming this service covering more areas," said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister noted that the rapid digitalization had become possible, in particular, due to the introduction of the position of deputies for digital transformation in all government agencies. He added that the formation of a new structure was already being completed at the regional level.
According to Denys Shmyhal, digitalization is one of the most effective ways to combat corruption.
"The more services we transfer online, the more transparent our country will be. We are removing intermediaries, disabling corruption, introducing new support programs, improving existing ones, and making the lives of Ukrainians more comfortable," the Head of Government said.
The Prime Minister stressed that the digital state in Ukraine is already our reality. The Government strives to ensure that the services be provided as comfortably as possible, and the citizens receive them when it is convenient and necessary for them.
