  • Ukraine’s participation in the Green Week to foster international economic cooperation and to promote the national brand

    Returning Ukraine as a full member with a national pavilion at the Green Week exhibition allows the country to deepen international business partnership and economic ties, expand the geography of Ukrainian goods supply to world markets, enhance the positive image and the national brand Ukraine Now.

    "This event is a unique opportunity for intergovernmental networking and a platform where global trends can be reconciled and, therefore the directions of industry development determined", commented on the event acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Maxym Martyniuk.

    In the first days of the exhibition, the Ukrainian delegation conducted dozens of interstate talks with EU ministers in charge of the agrarian issues. In addition, bilateral meetings were held with representatives of the World Bank, the German Farmers’ Association, the Federation of German Food and Drink Industries, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany.

    As the head of the delegation, Maxym Martyniuk participated in a meeting with the Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel in the framework of the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture 2019 (GFFA). Angela Merkel addressed the foreign ministers of agriculture with a speech on the importance of digital technology for the future of agriculture.

    The Ministry of Agrarian Policy expressed its gratitude to all companies involved in the organization of Ukrainian participation in the Green Week in the format of the national pavilion and financial assistance. The full-fledged presence of Ukraine in one of the largest and most prestigious agro-industrial exhibitions in the world, which gathered 61 countries, is a unique opportunity to maintain a positive image of the state and promote the national brand Ukraine Now.
