Government approves new procedure for compensation of utilities for institutions hosting IDPs: Denys Shmyhal
The Government has approved a new procedure for compensating the cost of utilities to institutions that accommodate families of internally displaced persons. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a session of the Cabinet of Ministers on 27 May.
"We make this procedure more efficient. We transfer the function of payments to the Pension Fund," he said.
Denys Shmyhal explained that payments would be made directly to the institutions where internally displaced persons resided, rather than to the authorities on whose balance sheet they are.
“The digitalisation of the process will help to avoid abuse, and payments will now be made every month, not with a quarterly delay,” the Prime Minister stressed and added that the Government continued to help those who support the families of internally displaced persons.
