Deputy Minister of Finance holds working meeting with the leadership of JSC Ukrposhta as part of the EBRD project on the development of Ukrposhta

Today, on May 10, the representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and JSC Ukrposhta held a working meeting on the investment project “Development Project of JSC Ukrposhta”, financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

The parties discussed key issues of implementation and further cooperation within the framework of the Project.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine Olga Zykova and CEO of Ukrposhta Ihor Smilyanskyi signed amendments to the Mortgage Agreement to ensure the fulfillment of the guarantee obligations in the amount of EUR 63 million under the EBRD loan.

The further implementation of the Project will allow Ukrposhta to continue the transformation of its logistics network, which will include financing of both contracts and mobile offices and systems, which will facilitate the provision of postal services in the frontline regions. In addition, the number of trucks, parcel and letter sorting lines, and electric tricycles will be increased and updated in 2024.

“Given the systematic challenges of russia’s armed aggression, it is extremely important to develop and support leading companies responsible for providing key services to our citizens. Effective implementation of the Project will help improve postal services throughout Ukraine to meet with the current challenges,” said Olga Zykova.
