The tendency towards increased export of Ukrainian snails to the countries of the European Union has been observed in the recent period.

Thus, only in 9 months of this year, 248 tons of snails of Ukrainian production were delivered to the European market, while the volume of export of these products to the European markets amounted to 93 tons last year.

Over the last two years, the number of domestic companies that have the right to supply snail products to the European Union has increased. According to the results of the third quarter, 17 Ukrainian companies were granted this right. In 2018, there were only 5. The list of companies approved for the export of snails to the EU can be found on the European Commission's website.

Given the demand for Ukrainian snails and the readiness of domestic enterprises to satisfy such demand, the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection constantly contributes to this process. Thus, in order to ensure uninterrupted export an international health certificate for the import of chilled, frozen, in the shell, cooked, processed, canned snails intended for human consumption was published on the official website of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
