Under the coordination of the Ministry of Energy, the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine received almost 68 tonnes of aid from international partners. The equipment includes mobile and stationary generators from Poland and the UK, LED spotlight sets for lighting towers from Turkey and Canada, and uninterruptible power supplies and external battery cabinets from Germany. The equipment is needed to carry out repairs and ensure the stable operation of the company.

In addition, since the beginning of the year, the GTS Operator has raised more than UAH 500 million from partners to ensure stable operation and development. This includes equipment, materials, machinery, financing of works, etc. In particular, the funds received to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, established at the initiative of the Ministry of Energy under the Energy Community Secretariat, are being used to reconstruct and restore gas transmission infrastructure facilities.

The company has also received significant assistance from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), international charities, and gas transmission system operators from other European countries.

“The assistance from our partners is an important contribution to the restoration of the gas infrastructure that was damaged by the shelling, and we are very grateful for this support. Ensuring uninterrupted gas transportation is an important task that gas workers are performing despite all the challenges in preparation for the next heating season,” said Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko.

It should also be noted that as part of the assistance from the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, Ukrainian GTS Operator is expected to receive five automatic gas distribution stations with a capacity of 5,000 m3/hour.
