The Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna said that the pace of import of humanitarian aid to Ukraine is growing. Over the past four days, more than 18,000 tons of humanitarian aid have been imported to Ukraine since March 2.

Thanks to the simplification of procedures for suppliers and recipients of humanitarian aid and the dedicated work of customs officers, logistics warehouses, carriers, Ukrzaliznytsia, people affected by the hostilities and temporarily relocated to safe regions, get what they need faster.

The main items of humanitarian aid that come to Ukraine are food, clothing, personal hygiene products, medicines and medical equipment, other goods needed to meet the needs of people who have been forced to change their place of residence, affected by hostilities, as well as those who joined the territorial defense units.

The main volumes of humanitarian aid come through Lviv, Zakarpattia and Volyn customs. Cargo is also received through Odessa, Chernivtsi and Cherkasy customs.

It should be noted that now when importing humanitarian aid to the territory of Ukraine the following is applied:

    - it is unnecessary to receive a separate decision on the recognition of the cargo as humanitarian aid,

    - the recipient does not have to be included in the Unified Register of Humanitarian Aid Recipients,

    - the clearance occurs without the application of measures of non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity,

    - Customs and Border Services provide immediate passage of humanitarian aid across the State Border of Ukraine.
