The Government continues to support those who need it most. In October, Ukrainians have already received UAH 1.4 billion in housing subsidies and benefits. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

In total, around UAH 29.6 billion has been accrued and paid out to Ukrainians in the first 10 months of this year.

“There is a simplified procedure for processing subsidies, and automatic reassignment for those who received subsidies during the non-heating season,” the Prime Minister said.

In addition, people who heat their homes with wood, coal or other solid fuels will receive an extra payment of up to UAH 21,000. According to the Prime Minister, the programme will cover some 500,000 Ukrainian families.

The state is also diligently meeting its pension obligations and will continue to do so. According to Denys Shmyhal, UAH 65 billion has been paid to pensioners this month.
