Since the year's start, farmers have received UAH 70.8 million in grants for orchards and greenhouses


Farmers have begun receiving their first grant payments following the resumption of the state support program. Since the onset of 2026, 14 enterprises have already raised UAH 70.8 million for the development of orchards, berry farming, viticulture, and greenhouse farming.

Specifically, 8 agricultural producers received UAH 38.8 million for the development of orchards, berry farming, and viticulture, while another 6 enterprises received UAH 32.0 million for the development of greenhouse farming.

“The grant program for orchards and greenhouses is an effective tool for supporting small and medium-sized agribusinesses to invest in high-value-added production, create new jobs, and expand processing. Since the program’s inception, hundreds of farms have already modernized their production or launched new projects. It enables farmers to expand competitive Ukrainian production,” noted Taras Vysotskyi, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.

In total, since the start of the grant support program, UAH 1.69 billion has already been disbursed to 355 business entities.

Of this amount, UAH 1.16 billion was allocated to 254 business entities for the development of horticulture, berry farming, and viticulture. A total of 233 farms received the full amount of funds.

Some UAH 527.2 million has been disbursed to 101 business entities for the development of greenhouse farming. All 101 greenhouse farms received the full amount of funds.

Background information

The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture has resumed accepting grant applications for the development of greenhouse farming and horticulture as of February 2, 2026. The program is being implemented in accordance with Resolution No. 738 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, taking into account the latest amendments adapted to the requirements of the EU’s Ukraine Facility.

In 2026, the grant amount is up to UAH 7 million per project, but not exceeding 70% of the project cost, and up to 80% for enterprises in de-occupied and frontline territories.

Applications can only be submitted through the Diia portal. A mandatory requirement is registration in the State Agrarian Register and the ownership or lease of a land plot for a term of at least 7 years.
