Electricity prices for the households from August 1 remain at UAH 1.68 per kWh, announced Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on July 28.
"Today the Government has adopted a relevant resolution, electricity prices for the population remain in place. The Government together with all stakeholders is working to balance the electricity market," said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister also stressed that preparations for the heating season were underway. According to him, this year the process is taking place under new conditions, because from now on the tariffs for heating and hot water are established by local authorities.
"This is an important part of decentralization reform, as such innovations push local leaders not to turn a blind eye to the inefficiency of utilities, the reliability of their work and the quality of service delivery to residents of relevant communities," urged the Prime Minister.
