There is planned to get a sufficient amount of vaccines against COVID-19 to fully vaccinate the majority of the adult population in 2021. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during his opening statement at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on July 28.

According to the Head of Government, by the end of the year, Ukraine will receive more than 47 million doses of the vaccine from various manufacturers.

"20 million doses of the vaccine from Pfizer will be delivered at the expense of the state budget. This number of vaccines will be enough to complete the task of full vaccination of the majority of the adult population of Ukraine in 2021. This is the top priority for the Ministry of Health," the PM stressed.

Denys Shmyhal noted that almost 2,900 vaccination centers and vaccination points have already been opened in Ukraine. The dynamics of the number of vaccinations, he said, is growing on a weekly basis.
