
Yurii Brovchenko took part in business forum Ukrlegprom: Industrial Dialog with Government
On June 7, 2010, an industry business forum Ukrlegprom: Industrial Dialogue with the Government took place in Lviv with the participation of Yurii Brovchenko, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
The event was initiated by the Ukrainian Association of Light Industry Enterprises together with Lviv Regional State Administration. The business forum aims to solve the key problems of the industry, as well as to establish a constructive dialogue among state institutions and representatives of industrial enterprises of Lviv region and other regions of the country.
In his speech, Yurii Brovchenko focused on the main elements of state support and export promotion, being implemented by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade starting from the establishment of the Export Credit Agency and ending with the development of sector and cross-sector export strategies.
"The light industry products is the second largest group after food, and presently by this indicator is ahead of other commodity markets of Ukraine. In addition, the branch is now assigned with an important task to ensure the state's defense capability through the manufacturing of quality military uniforms and gear for the Armed Forces of Ukraine", said the Deputy Minister.
Besides, Yurii Brovchenko noted that today products of Ukrainian origin are present in the markets of more than 90 countries all over the world, and their exports, according to the results of last year as compared to the indicators in 2016 increased by more than 13%.
