Yulia Svyrydenko: The Armed Forces of Ukraine are our strength, the guarantee of our Independence, and our pride

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko took part in ceremonial events marking the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Free people who take up arms to defend their country from the enemy. Our strength, the guarantee of our Independence, and our pride. Brave men and women who fight every day for Ukraine’s independence,” the Head of Government stressed.

In the ranks of the Armed Forces are those who consciously chose military service as their profession, and those who never imagined themselves in pixel camouflage – entrepreneurs, engineers, IT specialists, teachers, doctors – who are now working for victory within the units of the Armed Forces.

Yulia Svyrydenko emphasised that for the third year running, the Day of the Armed Forces is being celebrated together with St Nicholas Day. The Wonderworker has always symbolised faith in goodness and miracles. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are the ones who give us faith in the future and perform miracles, holding back a far larger aggressor and defending our sovereignty and independence in the most difficult conditions.

“We believe in our Armed Forces. The army is doing its job, and all of us must do our job for the army. Thank you to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for every single day we have. Eternal honour and memory to all our Heroes who gave their lives defending the country,” Yulia Svyrydenko stressed.
