Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko held a meeting with the heads of regional military-civilian administrations on the implementation of the Government's decision to review the current lists of critical infrastructure facilities.

“As a result of the review, we have found an opportunity to free up at least 800 MW of electrical power. This will reduce the duration of power outages for people and industry,” the Prime Minister said.

According to her, two categories were removed from the lists: consumers with a capacity of less than 100 kW and facilities to which a number of other consumers were connected, which are subject to general restrictions to ensure fair distribution of electricity.

Consumers of ancillary loads that are not critical, identified during the review of the lists of critical facilities, will be transferred to the power outage schedules in accordance with the general procedure.

It should be noted that this review does not apply to core hospitals, life support facilities, and defense and industrial complex enterprises.

Yulia Svyrydenko instructed the Ministry of Energy, together with the National Utilities and Energy Regulatory Commission, to monitor the implementation of the decision at the local level.
