At the invitation of U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko participated online in a meeting of U.S. and EU representatives, which was opened by U.S. President Donald Trump.

“This event is part of a negotiation process aimed at strengthening transatlantic unity. We welcome the efforts of our international partners directed towards achieving a just and lasting peace for Ukraine,” stated the Head of the Ukrainian Government.

Yulia Svyrydenko highlighted that sanctions are already having a significant impact on the russian economy, which has lost over USD 160 billion.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Prime Minister urged partners to continue jointly increasing pressure by imposing strict sanctions on the “shadow fleet,” oil majors, refineries, traders, and other enablers.

“Only decisive measures can reduce Russia’s capacity to wage war and bring its daily atrocities and terror to an end,” emphasised Yulia Svyrydenko.
