Ukraine will receive increased supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG) via the Baltic region. Agreements on long-term LNG deliveries through the Klaipėda LNG terminal were reached during intergovernmental consultations in Vilnius, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

“Liquefied natural gas may be supplied by both American and Middle Eastern producers. Naftogaz of Ukraine has already received such shipments. Our agreements will enable us to strengthen this supply route,” said the Head of the Ukrainian Government.

The Prime Minister stressed that this is an important step towards strengthening Ukraine’s resilience.
