The Government of Ukraine has delivered an unprecedented volume of planned repair works on the country’s main roads since the start of the full-scale invasion, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko has announced.

Priority repairs to potholes and other winter-related road damage have been completed on national and international highways.

“Restoring roads to a proper condition is, above all, a matter of public safety, the uninterrupted movement of supplies for the Defence Forces, and the stable functioning of the economy,” the Prime Minister said.

In total, 14 million square metres of road surface have been repaired. This is the highest figure recorded since the beginning of the full-scale war.

The Government will continue to prioritise the restoration of road infrastructure across the regions.

In particular, further works will focus on roads that are critical for military logistics and evacuation routes.
