Ukraine is steadily moving toward OECD membership as an important component of Ukraine's European integration, Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized following a meeting with Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Mathias Cormann in Kyiv.

"I was pleased to welcome OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann to Kyiv and get the results of the three OECD reviews of Ukraine covering infrastructure, public governance, and justice. These reviews provide both an independent assessment of our reforms and a roadmap for the next stage of transformation," stressed the Head of Government. "All three comprehensive reviews recognize the impact of years of consistent reform efforts. In addition, the OECD Anti-Corruption and Integrity Review, presented yesterday, confirmed that Ukraine has achieved above-OECD-average results in adopting and implementing legislation on corruption prevention, judicial integrity, political party financing, and related areas."

Yulia Svyrydenko accentuated that it had been an outcome of systematic activities through years.

"Ukraine is steadily moving toward OECD membership as an important component of our broader European integration. The results of these reviews confirm our readiness for the next step – obtaining candidate status for accession to the Organization," highlighted the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Yulia Svyrydenko handed over the Government of Ukraine’s letter renewing our request for OECD membership 

"We look forward to the launch of accession talks in the near future. Even in wartime, we continue to advance reforms, digitalization, and stronger public institutions, steadily moving closer to the standards of the world’s most advanced democracies," assured the Head of Government
