Government allocates UAH 220 million to Defense Forces

The Government has additionally allocated UAH 220 million to meet the needs of the Defense Forces. These are funds that remained unused in the budget expenditures for financing the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC). This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
Specifically, from this amount:
- UAH 100 million will be used for training personnel of the National Guard;
- UAH 70 million will be allocated to the Ministry of Defense for development, procurement, modernization, and repair of weapons;
- UAH 50 million is earmarked for the activities of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
“Defense funding is an unconditional priority. Therefore, funds saved under other budget programs are redirected, in accordance with established procedures, to strengthen Ukraine’s security and defense capability,” emphasized the Head of Government.
