Yulia Svyrydenko: Government has updated the procedure for submitting claims to the international Register of Damage via the Diia portal

The Government has updated the procedure for submitting claims to the International Register of Damages via the Diya portal. Legal entities and state bodies of Ukraine will also be able to submit claims for damage and destruction of residential properties and critical infrastructure. Yulia Svyrydenko, the Prime Minister, announced this.

"We're working to ensure that russia is held accountable for all the damage caused to Ukrainians. One of the tools in this process is an international Register of Damage.

We have updated the procedure for submitting claims to the international Register of Damage through the Dіia portal. Now, not only individuals but also legal entities and state bodies of Ukraine will be eligible to submit claims, in particular regarding damage and destruction of residential properties, critical infrastructure, and other objects. It will be possible to submit such claims in the near future," the Head of Government emphasised.

According to her, since April 2024, almost 90,000 people have already submitted appeals in 14 categories of the international Register of Damage through the Diia portal.

The Compensation Commission shall consider these appeals and decide on compensation for the damage caused. It was established yesterday by 35 states that signed the relevant Convention.
