Yulia Svyrydenko: Government is coordinating the restoration of the power grid after another massive attack by russia
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko held a daily conference call to coordinate efforts to restore the power grid after the night russian shelling.
The enemy cynically attacked Kyiv and Kyiv region, as well as Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions, using ballistic missiles, among other things.
More than 30 people were wounded in Kharkiv as a result of the strikes. In Kyiv, russian troops again targeted civilian infrastructure and energy facilities. One woman was killed and two more citizens were wounded. The Prime Minister expressed her condolences to the family of the deceased.
Rescue workers, power engineers, and utility services are working continuously on site. The Government is taking all necessary measures to restore electricity and heat supply to the people as soon as possible.
In particular:
• damaged power generation facilities are being repaired quickly;
• electricity imports have been maximized;
• new alternative power sources are being put into operation.
During the conference call, special attention was paid to supporting people with limited mobility and working with buildings where it has not been possible to restore heat supply for a long time.
“Ministries and all services are working to support them. Local authorities should be no less active,” said the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
