Yulia Svyrydenko: Employees of Ukrainian energy, heating, gas, utility, and railway companies shall receive additional payments from the state
Ukrainian energy, heating, gas, utility, and railway workers shall receive an additional UAH 20,000 to their salaries from the state. This is part of the Government's support package in response to the emergency situation in the energy sector. This was announced by Yulia Svyrydenko following a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
"An additional UAH 20,000 will be added to the salaries of employees of energy companies, regardless of ownership, housing and communal services enterprises, and Ukrzaliznytsia who are directly involved in emergency repair work. Every day, these specialists, as part of repair crews, visit damaged facilities and restore electricity, gas, heat and water supply, as well as the operation of gas infrastructure after shelling," said the Head of Government.
The funds will be accrued during January-March this year. The first payments for January will be made in February. According to Yulia Svyrydenko, the mechanism for receiving payments has been simplified so that people do not waste time and effort on bureaucracy. Companies shall submit lists of repair workers. Everyone who is eligible to receive payments will be notified via Diia or SMS.
"People who work around the clock in extremely difficult conditions, in the cold, often under fire, with constant risk to their lives, deserve recognition from the state. It is thanks to their work that light and heat are returning to Ukrainian homes in record time after the most severe massive attacks. I would like to thank every energy worker for their professionalism, endurance and dedicated work for Ukraine," the Prime Minister emphasised.
