Yulia Svyrydenko: New transit points for evacuees to open in Lozova and Voloske

To ease the burden on the transit centre in Pavlohrad, which receives evacuees from frontline communities, new transit points will be opened in Lozova and Voloske. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk кegion, where she is today with a government and rescue team.

“I am in Pavlohrad today with the government and rescue team. The centre here is operating at full capacity – this summer alone, over 52,000 people have been evacuated from Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, including thousands of children and hundreds from low-mobility groups. To relieve the centre, we are opening new transit points in Lozova and Voloske,” said Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to her, by the end of the month, at least 30,000 places, including for low-mobility individuals, will be prepared across 15 regions and Kyiv. Ukrzaliznytsia is transporting thousands of evacuees daily using additional train carriages.

“I have given the necessary instructions to the relevant ministries and services – from setting up new centres to preparing infrastructure for winter,” stated the Head of Government.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the Government’s task is to ensure no one is left alone wondering “where to go.”

Yulia Svyrydenko expressed gratitude to rescuers, volunteers, and communities “who help Ukrainians on their journey to safety every day.”
