Yulia Svyrydenko: Compensation period for accommodating IDPs extended to 90 days

The Government has extended the period for providing compensation to institutions for accommodating internally displaced persons (IDPs) who lost their documents due to the war, from 60 to 90 days. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

“We are expanding the options for confirming the destruction or damage of housing. From now on, a remote inspection report can also be used for this purpose,” the Prime Minister said. “The compensation system will become more transparent: the Pension Fund’s electronic portal will allow users to see information on the granting of compensation, reasons for refusal, calculation of the amount, and payments made.”

The Government also adopted a decision on providing housing for family-type children’s homes, establishing the procedure and conditions for state budget subsidies. Priority will be given to families evacuated due to the war, those who have lost their homes, or those returning to Ukraine from abroad.

The State Budget for 2026 allocates UAH 833 million for housing provision for family-type children’s homes.
