Yulia Svyrydenko and Ihor Klymenko discussed the importance of drawing on the experience of MIA specialists in preparing for future heating seasons

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko held a working meeting with Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.

“We reviewed the results of the heating season amid constant enemy attacks on the energy sector. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, particularly the State Emergency Service, played a crucial role in mitigating the consequences of the shelling,” the Head of Government commented.

According to her, a total of about 8,000 State Emergency Service rescuers worked daily to address the consequences of enemy shelling of energy facilities across Ukraine: high-altitude climbers, divers, bomb disposal experts, specialists from newly formed energy and engineering units, psychologists, and others.

“We discussed the further involvement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the application of the experience gained in preparing for future heating seasons and implementing Comprehensive Resilience Plans for regions and cities,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.
