Yulia Svyrydenko: Submission of applications for the SvitloDim programme to support the energy efficiency of apartment buildings is now open
Starting today, Ukraine has launched the submission of applications for the SvitloDim state programme to support apartment buildings in ensuring autonomous power supply during prolonged power outages.
Homeowners' associations, housing and service cooperatives, as well as managers of apartment buildings of any form of ownership can now apply online through the Diia portal on the SvitloDim programme website.
Under the program, the state provides financial assistance in the amount of UAH 100,000 to UAH 300,000. The funds can be used to purchase gasoline, diesel, or gas generators, batteries, inverters, solar panels, and other energy equipment to ensure the operation of critical life support systems.
The amount of assistance depends on the number of floors in the building and the number of entrances.
To participate, it is necessary to open a special account for this purpose at Oschadbank or another bank participating in the program. Applications are reviewed and approved by the Commission under the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
The SvitloDim programme will operate during martial law in communities with an officially declared state of emergency in the energy sector. In the first stage, this includes the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
"Supporting the energy sustainability of housing facilities is one of the Government's priorities in the context of constant attacks on the energy system. SvitloDim is part of a systematic approach to enhancing the energy sustainability of apartment buildings so that people can more easily cope with prolonged power outages and recover more quickly after subsequent attacks," said the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
