Department of Information and Public Communications of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, posted 04 June 2026 15:15

On the Day of Remembrance for Children Killed as a Result of russia’s Armed Aggression against Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko stated that russia has killed at least 707 Ukrainian children. These are only the officially confirmed figures.

More than 20,000 Ukrainian children have been unlawfully deported or forcibly displaced.

russia has destroyed maternity hospitals, hospitals, kindergartens, schools and homes. It is attempting to rob Ukrainian children of their childhood, their homes and their future, while severing their ties to their families, native language and Ukrainian identity.

“The aggressor must be held accountable for its crimes. Today is the Day of Remembrance for Children Killed as a Result of russia’s Aggression. May every child be remembered. Our thoughts are with the parents and loved ones of those who were killed,” the Prime Minister stressed.
