Yulia Svyrydenko: Over 1 million m² of damage on highways has been repaired

Repair work on motor roads across the country is ongoing. Since the beginning of the year, over 1 million m² of damage has been repaired. This is the highest figure in the last six years. This was reported by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to the Head of Government, by the end of March, the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development is expected to reach maximum daily work volumes. Current repairs on international highways are to be completed by May 1, and all major work by June 1.

“A separate priority is roads that provide front-line logistics, as well as military, medical, and humanitarian transport. We have agreed with the Ministry of Defense that State Special Transport Service units will begin repairs within a 30-kilometer zone from the line of contact. We will allocate an additional UAH 1.5 billion for this. The list of roads has already been agreed upon with the military. The Government has allocated UAH 3 billion from the reserve fund. In addition, UAH 12.6 billion, provided for in the 2026 budget, have been allocated for road repair and maintenance,” Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development to intensify efforts to attract additional resources—in particular, through state guarantees and in cooperation with international partners.
