Ukraine is a young state of an ancient people. This trait is reflected in the Constitution of Ukraine — a 30‑year‑old document rooted in centuries of state‑building tradition. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko emphasized this on the occasion of Constitution Day of Ukraine.
“The Basic Law, thirty years ago, defined the choice of Ukrainians to have a sovereign, democratic, and legal state. And more recently, it enshrined our irreversible path toward full membership in the European Union,” noted the Head of Government. “I thank our Defenders, who safeguard this choice every day. I thank each and every one of the millions of Ukrainians who strengthen the state through their daily work. Happy Constitution Day of Ukraine!”
