Yulia Svyrydenko: The Government is allocating UAH 67.8 billion for the implementation of Regional Resilience Plans

The State is allocating UAH 67.8 billion for the implementation of Regional Resilience Plans through amendments to Ukraine’s State Budget approved by the Verkhovna Rada. An additional UAH 9.6 billion has been provided by local budgets. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

“We are working to attract additional international financing. Following the tenth meeting of the Coordination Centre, regional military administration heads were instructed to prepare step-by-step project implementation plans and clear financing schedules,” said the Prime Minister.

According to her, the first round of reviews of the regions’ implementation of the Resilience Plans has been completed. Rivne, Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions are currently demonstrating the strongest results.

Particular attention was given to supporting people and businesses as part of preparations for winter.

For large and medium-sized businesses, the programme supporting distributed generation projects remains available, offering financing of up to EUR 25 million at an annual rate of 10%. Small and medium-sized enterprises can access loans of up to UAH 250 million under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9% programme, whose parameters have been adjusted to encourage the development of new generation capacity in energy-deficit regions.

In addition, entrepreneurs can receive up to UAH 10 million at 0% interest for the purchase of generators and gas-powered units.

The Government is also launching new tenders for the construction of 1,505 MW of generating capacity.

“We are continuing the SvitloDIM programme. More than 2,000 apartment buildings have already received support. By the end of the year, we plan to extend the programme to 3,600 apartment buildings,” Yulia Svyrydenko stressed.
