Yulia Svyrydenko discussed the next stage of school meals reform at a meeting with RMAs heads

A meeting was held with regional military administration (RMAs) heads to coordinate efforts on implementing the Government’s priorities in the regions. The discussion focused on key issues: defence, energy, and preparations for the upcoming heating season. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.

The regions’ readiness for the next stage of school meals reform was discussed separately. 

The Head of Government emphasised that from 1 September, pupils in grades 1–11 across Ukraine are to receive hot meals. Today, free meals are already provided for all children in frontline communities and pupils in grades 1–4 in all regions. The Government has already allocated UAH 1 billion for the modernisation of 73 school canteens across Ukraine.

“School meals are not just about social support, but also about developing the local economy, creating jobs and supporting Ukrainian producers,” emphasised Yulia Svyrydenko.
