More than 2.3 million Ukrainians took advantage of the Government’s Fuel Cashback program, which ran from March 20 to May 31 as a temporary anti-crisis measure to support citizens. This was reported by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to her, the program was introduced as a tool to provide financial support to people during the worst global oil crisis in the last 50 years.

“The national program allowed Ukrainians to save between 5% and 15%, depending on the type of fuel,” noted the Head of Government.

91% of the program’s users are owners of economy-class cars with small-displacement engines.

During the program’s duration, approximately 500,000 new National Cashback cards were issued, contributing to the further development of Government's digital services.

Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that the accumulated cashback funds can be used to pay for utilities, purchase medicines, books, and Ukrainian-made products, as well as donated to charity or used to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
