Ukraine's course towards the European Union is firm and our country continues to implement its commitments on the path to European integration. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stressed this during a session of the Cabinet of Ministers on 31 December.

He reminded that pre-accession negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the European Union had begun, and that an external screening of Ukrainian legislation for compliance with European law had also started.

"We have created an effective architecture of the negotiation process and prepared draft roadmaps envisaged by the Negotiating Framework. We are ready to promptly complete all the ‘homework’ so that the EU member states can make a political decision as soon as possible," the Head of Government stressed.

According to Denys Shmyhal, digitalisation is an important area of transformation of the state.

He informed that there were already almost 22 million Diia users, more than 30 services were available in the app and more than 120 on the portal. In addition, in 2024, the e-Entrepreneur service, the Mriya educational ecosystem, Diia bookings, online marriage, uResidency and much more were launched.

The Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine ranked fifth in the world in terms of the development of digital public services.

"Each new service has a specific goal - to help people, to modernise the state, to speed up all processes so that post-war Ukraine makes a rapid leap in its development," the Prime Minister emphasized.
