The state has invested UAH 11 billion in the development of small and medium-sized businesses through the eRobota grant programme. A total of 22,700 entrepreneurs received financial support to start or develop their business. Grantees have already returned half of the invested funds in the form of taxes and fees paid to the budget. This was announced by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
“22,700 entrepreneurs have received grants to develop their businesses under the eRobota programme, which we launched two and a half years ago to support small and medium-sized enterprises. In total, the state has already invested UAH 11 billion in entrepreneurship through grants. Thanks to this support, thousands of companies have started their operations, increased production of goods and services, mastered new areas and entered new markets, and created more than 60,000 jobs. Since then, the grantees have already returned half of the invested funds through taxes, paying nearly UAH 6 billion in taxes and fees,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.
Since the launch of the eRobota project in July 2022:
Both existing entrepreneurs and people with no business experience can apply for a grant. Applications can be submitted through the Diia portal along with a business plan. To receive a microgrant of more than UAH 75,000 under the Vlasna Sprava programme, a prerequisite for receiving funds is the creation of 1-2 jobs, depending on the amount of the grant, and for other programmes – the creation of up to several dozen jobs. Ukrainians under the age of 25 can receive a grant of up to UAH 150,000 with an obligation to register as an individual entrepreneur, but they are not required to create jobs. The grant funds are returned to the state in the form of taxes and fees paid in the course of the company’s operations over a period of three years.
