eOselia: Since the beginning of the year, Ukrainians have received loans for the purchase of housing worth UAH 12.1 billion
Since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainians have received 7,113 loans for the purchase of housing worth UAH 12.1 billion under the eOselia affordable loans programme. 70.5% of loans were taken out by Ukrainians to purchase housing on the secondary market – 5,012 residential properties, while 1,606 properties (22.6%) were purchased from the developer, of which 495 (7%) were under construction. This was announced by Andrii Teliupa, Deputy Minister of Economy.
“Under the terms of the eOselia programme, service members and law enforcement officers, doctors, teachers, scientists and their families can improve their living conditions by obtaining a loan at a preferential rate of 3%. For combatants, veterans, IDPs and other citizens without housing, the mortgage rate is 7%. In particular, 13,438 families have received loans worth more than UAH 21.6 billion since the start of the programme,” said Andrii Teliupa.
Last week, Ukrainians took out 140 loans worth UAH 235 million, including loans at 3% interest: 50 military and security personnel, 13 teachers, 16 doctors, and 4 scientists.
Loans at 7% interest rate were granted to 43 Ukrainians without their own housing, 6 IDPs, and 8 veterans.
Most loans were issued in Kyiv region – 42, Kyiv city – 29, Odesa region – 9, Lviv and Vinnytsia regions – 7 each.
Background
The eOselia programme is one of the components of the Made in Ukraine policy aimed at stimulating demand for Ukrainian products and creating favourable conditions for production development. The programme was launched in October 2022. The programme is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Ukrfinzhytlo.
