eOselia: Ukrainians have received housing loans worth UAH 27.2 billion since programme’s launch

Since the launch of the eOselia affordable mortgage programme, 16,517 Ukrainian families have become homeowners. The total value of loans issued amounts to UAH 27.151 billion. Notably, military personnel, law enforcement officers, medical workers, educators, researchers, and their families can access loans at a preferential rate of 3%, while combatants, veterans, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and other citizens without housing qualify for a 7% mortgage rate. This was announced by Andrii Teliupa, Deputy Minister of Economy.

“This year alone, 1,677 Ukrainians have joined the eOselia programme to purchase their own homes, with loans totalling over UAH 3 billion. The programme offers flexible terms, a low mortgage rate, and is tailored to modern realities, including the needs of young people, IDPs, and other citizens without housing,” the Deputy Minister noted.

Last week, 94 loans worth UAH 183.7 million were issued, including 3% rate loans to:

  • 34 military personnel and law enforcement officers;
  • 7 medical workers;
  • 4 educators;
  • 3 researchers.

Loans at the 7% rate were granted to:

  • 35 citizens without their own housing;
  • 8 IDPs;
  • 3 veterans.

By property type, 54 Ukrainians received loans for newly built housing, including 15 properties under construction, while 40 loans were issued for properties on the secondary market.

Background

The eOselia programme is a key component of the Made in Ukraine policy, aimed at stimulating demand for Ukrainian products while creating favourable conditions for production development. Launched in October 2022, the programme is implemented by the Ministry of Economy in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Ukrfinzhytlo. Partner banks include Oschadbank, PrivatBank, Ukrgasbank, Globus Bank, Sky Bank, Sense Bank, Bank Credit Dnipro, TASCOMBANK, BISBANK, and Radabank.
