The eOselia programme is becoming more accessible to young people. Ukrainians under the age of 26 can get a mortgage with a down payment of only 10% of the cost of housing instead of 20%, as it was before.
“The eOselia programme, one of the key components of the Made in Ukraine policy, is becoming even more accessible to citizens. Now young Ukrainians will be able to join the programme by paying a halved down payment – from 10% of the cost of housing. Until now, the share of young people among the programme participants was insignificant – 9%. A total of 1,115 loans have been issued to this age group. We expect that the share of young participants in the programme will grow, which will encourage young people to stay in the country, and the development of the programme will increase the positive effect for the construction and related industries and, ultimately, for the Ukrainian economy,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
Background

In just two years, 14,030 loans totalling UAH 22.6 billion have been disbursed under the affordable mortgage programme.
