Additional funds allocated to support important logistics routes in frontline regions
This involves the allocation of over UAH 1.7 billion to strengthen strategic logistics routes necessary to ensure Ukraine's defence capability.
In order to maintain and ensure the proper condition of important logistics routes necessary for Ukraine's defence capability, particularly in frontline regions, the Government adopted a resolution at its meeting to allocate UAH 1.456 billion to the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, specifically for:
- Mykolaiv region – UAH 410 million;
- Odesa region – UAH 200 million;
- Kharkiv region – UAH 846 million.
It is also planned to allocate UAH 306.37 million from the reserve fund of the State Budget to regional budgets for:
- Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration – UAH 170 million;
- Kherson Regional Military Administration – UAH 136.4 million.
"We must ensure the proper functioning of the logistics routes necessary for the state's defence capability. In addition, roads in frontline communities are necessary both for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and for the humanitarian needs of Ukrainians living near the line of demarcation with the enemy," said Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba.
Particular attention is paid to roads that are of fundamental importance for the country's defence capability and roads in frontline regions, thanks to which their residents can count on necessary medical care, social services or evacuation, if necessary.
