Ukraine withstood in 2014-2015 and is now developing due to the moral courage of the people and those reforms that are being implemented. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated in an interview with the Latvian media outlets.

The Head of Government reminded that in early 2014, Ukraine was a poor country with huge debts, a 20% loss in the economy and suffering from various manifestations of aggression.

"The year of 2015 marked the beginning of the reforms. Since then, change has been launched in all spheres of life. What reforms are those? Complete reloading of the public administration sector. Decentralization is a complete change of the system of local self-government. The Ukrainian Army - meaning a complete reform of the Ukrainian Army towards increasing its combat capability. Replacement of the "Soviet" militia with the Ukrainian police. The energy sphere. Deregulation - throughout 2016-2018, we were abolishing Soviet-era regulations. Cleansing of the banking sector. Medicine, roads, reform of state-run companies", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

The Prime Minister noted that reforms are not something that can be brought about today, and tomorrow to entail the sense of change. "But I do not know any state that would have gone the same way so fast and even amid war and aggression. Of course, looking back, I understand that we could have done more. But one cannot get back to the past. Therefore, we must look ahead", said Volodymyr Groysman. "We did a good job in 2018, lowered inflation to one-figure indicators. We must prolong our path of reforms, and we will be able to speed up our development trend."
