The fight against smuggling declared by the Government of Ukraine is the direction aimed to root out the discrediting phenomenon of plots at the border, and therefore to promote development of the state’s ecomomy, entrepreneurship and modernization of the country. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, commenting on the recent information provided by the State Fiscal Service regarding The Ukraine without smuggling initiative.

"In July, we got an extra UAH 3.2 billion to the budget. This is what we’ve succeded to mobilize as surplus as a result of introduced measures. I want to thank the SFS, the Customs Service, National Police. This is the matter of all law enforcement agencies. I urge all of those to develop unity. Potential is enormous. These funds do not belong to smugglers. They belong to Ukrainian warrior, pensioner, doctor. Those are the means to carry out modernization of the country. We will have more revenues, the figures will be clear", the Head of Government assured.

He stressed that to deter strikes in opposition to the Government's activities is a challenge, as opponents are rather numerous.

"But my job is to promote the country’s prosperity. We are committed to advance. Let's unite our efforts and curb this discrediting phenomenon wiping out potential of the economy, destroying the opportunities for industrial growth and entrepreneurship development. We must stay the course and we will. Our activities are honest. But if those are honest, victory is always ours", said Volodymyr Groysman.
