  • Prime Minister: Farmers should become landholders in Ukraine

    The Ukrainian farmers should be the sole landholder, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated on air of the ICTV channel in The Freedom of Speech program.

    "Land should be owned by farmers not by holding company or foreigners. This is a principled position" , the Head of Government claimed.

    The Prime Minister stressed the Government is lobbyist for the interests of the farmer's movement , in particular, through the introduction of farmer support programs. According to him, these programs encapsulate 40% compensation for the cost of equipment, provision of affordable loans, livestock promotion and encouragement of creation of cooperatives, and etc.

    "We support farmers through such programs" , the Prime Minister underscored.
