    Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, posted 11 January 2021 16:55

    In order to ensure effective and transparent land reform, the Government has updated the Procedure for conducting a regulatory monetary valuation of agricultural land. This means that landowners obtained the opportunity to update the technical documentation for the assessment of land plots.

    "A full regulatory and monetary assessment of land throughout Ukraine was conducted in 2018. But it is clear that over time, the condition of lands and soil properties may change. We heard the wishes of farmers regarding them with the opportunity to update the assessment of their land and made some changes that will ensure a fair price for land and effective implementation of land reform," commented the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Ihor Petrashko.

    Thus, the resolution amends the following:

    • The procedure for conducting a nationwide (all-Ukrainian) normative monetary evaluation of agricultural land, approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of February 7, 2018, No. 105;
    • The procedure for maintaining the State Land Cadastre, approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of October 17, 2012, No. 1051.

    The implementation of the resolution provides for the exclusion of provisions on the mandatory use of the results of national normative monetary evaluation of agricultural lands to provide information from the State Land Cadastre. It is also possible for the owner or land user to order normative monetary evaluation to be conducted regarding a particular land plot before the expiration of the term specified in part two of Article 18 of the Law of Ukraine "On Land Valuation".
