Another 93 Ukrainians became winners of the Vlasna Sprava (Own Business) programme following the twenty-sixth - the final wave in 2024. They will receive grants to start or expand their businesses amounting to UAH 23 million. In total, 11,000 Ukrainians won the programme last year and will receive UAH 2.6 billion. For 2025, the Government has envisaged more than UAH 3 billion for the programme, and 15,000 Ukrainians will be able to receive grant support. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna.
"In 2024, 11,000 Ukrainians became the winners of the Vlasna Sprava programme and will receive grants to either start or develop their businesses for a total of UAH 2.6 billion. Last year, there were 1,500 more grantees than in 2023. We expect even more entrepreneurs to benefit from Government support this year. The Cabinet of Ministers has budgeted more than UAH 3 billion for this programme this year, and about 15,000 Ukrainians will be offered grants. We are increasing investments in small and medium-sized businesses, thereby ensuring our economic stability and development," said Tetiana Berezhna.
Among the microgrant recipients in 2024, 62% are women and 38% are men. The majority of grantees are from Lviv (1,200), Kyiv (761), Ivano-Frankivsk (748), Rivne (709), Vinnytsia (613) regions and the city of Kyiv (871). The vast majority of grantees plan to use the microgrant funds to purchase equipment necessary for running their business.
The most popular sectors in which the 2024 grantees will work are:
- wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles;
- temporary accommodation and catering;
- processing industry;
- provision of other types of services;
- healthcare and social assistance.
Background information
As a reminder, Ukrainians can receive a microgrant from UAH 50,000 to UAH 250,000 under the Vlasna Sprava (Own Business) grant programme. Both active entrepreneurs and people with no experience of such activities can receive a microgrant. To receive a grant of more than UAH 75,000, a prerequisite for receiving funds is the creation of 1-2 jobs, depending on the amount of the grant. Ukrainians under the age of 25 can receive a grant of up to UAH 150,000 with an obligation to register as a sole proprietor, but they do not have to create jobs. Entrepreneurs in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region can receive a grant of up to UAH 300,000 (on condition of creating 1 job) and up to UAH 500,000 (on condition of creating 2 jobs).
The grant funds can be used to purchase or lease equipment, purchase raw materials and supplies, and rent premises. Applications for grants are submitted through the Diia portal along with a business plan. The programme is administered by the State Employment Service.

The Government project eRobota is one of the components of the Made in Ukraine policy and includes grant programmes aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship and job creation. These include microgrants for starting or developing a business, grants for veterans and their spouses, grants for setting up and developing processing plants, and grants for setting up orchards, viticulture, and greenhouses.
