Within the scope of the practical implementation of the Ukrainian-French political agreements, a delegation of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine headed by Deputy Minister of Defense of European Integration Anatolii Petrenko visited France from February 24 to February 26.

During the visit, after a five-year break, the work of the Joint Interstate Ukrainian-French Commission on Armaments and Military Equipment was resumed.

On the outcomes of the meeting, the necessary conditions were created to ensure effective cooperation of the Ukrainian side with the Directorate General of Armaments of the French Ministry of Armed Forces and the French interested enterprises of the military-industrial complex in order to efficiently provide the high-tech samples of modern military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The agreements reached were enshrined in a bilateral intergovernmental protocol signed by the Heads of Delegation at the Embassy of Ukraine in France.
