Restoration of Sumy region’s energy infrastructure and preparation for the heating season: priority measures agreed
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine to address the state of energy supply in the Sumy region, which remains under constant threat due to russia’s armed aggression. The meeting focused on key issues: restoring damaged infrastructure, preparing for the heating season, and strengthening the protection of energy facilities.
The event was attended by Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, and heads of energy sector enterprises. Following the meeting, priority measures were agreed upon to address damage to electricity distribution system facilities, and tasks were outlined to ensure the continued operation of the region’s energy system.
“We must be prepared for any challenges and ensure everything necessary for the timely completion of repair works and stable electricity supply to consumers in safe areas,” emphasised Ukraine’s Minister of Energy, Svitlana Grynchuk.
The objective remains unchanged – ensuring a stable electricity supply to every household, healthcare facility, educational institution, and enterprise, even amidst wartime challenges.
