Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko thanked Members of Parliament for supporting the legislative decisions needed to ensure macro-financial stability, advance European integration and fulfil Ukraine’s commitments to its partners.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed key laws required to continue funding under the Ukraine Facility programme:

  • the law on the digitalisation of enforcement proceedings No. 14005 – in full;
  • the law on integration into the European Union’s energy market No. 12087-d – in full.

“These two initiatives will allow Ukraine to receive EUR 875 million in funding from the EU,” the Prime Minister commented.

In addition, the draft law on the principles of delineation and distribution of powers between levels of public governance No. 14412 was adopted in the first reading. Its final adoption will enable the attraction of an additional EUR 440 million.

The Prime Minister also welcomed the support for the European integration bill No. 12221, which will allow negotiations to begin on concluding the ACAA Agreement (“industrial visa-free regime”), as well as bill No. 15110 on the military levy, which is necessary to continue cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.

“The Verkhovna Rada and the Government are working as one team in the interests of the state,” Yulia Svyrydenko emphasised.
