Today, June 15, lawmakers supported the draft Law of Ukraine "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on Financial Cooperation (Appropriations 2012-2019)". The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has prepared a draft to meet the requirements of Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "On International Agreements of Ukraine".

The agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Germany signed on 17.12.2020 will speed up the procedure for concluding separate agreements and contracts with the Reconstruction Credit Institute (KfW) on projects previously agreed under during the Ukrainian-German intergovernmental talks.

Ratification of this Agreement will create a legal basis for the possibility for the Government of Ukraine to attract preferential loan financing from KfW in the total amount of up to EUR 214.55 million and grant financing in the amount of up to EUR 38.9 million.
