The United Kingdom is one of the countries that has provided consistent and systematic support from the first day of the full-scale invasion to the present day. Ukraine, for its part, is ready to continue cooperation and to work on the principles of transparency, accountability and efficiency.

This was stated by Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, during a meeting with Martin Harris, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom.

“We need to complete all the projects that have been started. From now on, however, the Ministry will be responsible for a new policy on the temporarily occupied territories as an element of regional policy. It will also be worth paying joint attention to. The Black Sea issue also falls within the scope of our cooperation. We must maintain the security of the sea corridor by all means,” said Oleksii Kuleba.

Oleksii Kuleba thanked the United Kingdom for its systematic, prompt and timely support and assistance.

In his turn, Martin Harris noted that Ukraine and the UK had a lot of common activities and plans.

According to him, the UK and Ukraine have become great allies and partners because of the war. It is clear that the security of Ukraine is also the security of the UK. Ukraine’s victory is important for everyone. And even after victory, there are great prospects for developing the relationship further. The largest UK’s foreign aid programme is for Ukraine. It is both humanitarian and economic. In other words, the UK is a full-spectrum donor. New aid programmes and programmes for different sectors in Ukraine are currently being prepared.

The parties also discussed the current heating season in Ukraine, its peculiarities and needs.
