The Government has adopted a resolution that ensures fairness for electricity importers. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

"Thus, blackout schedules will not be applied to companies that import 80% of their electricity consumption. This will allow such enterprises to operate smoothly and stably, and at the same time reduce the power deficit in the energy system, which means more light in the homes of Ukrainians," the Head of Government noted.

According to the Prime Minister, Ukraine can currently import no more than 1.7 GW. The Government is negotiating to increase the volume to more than 2 GW, as all technical capabilities are in place for that.
